Abstract: The article deals with implementing virtual reality devices into command and control systems. This approach brings new requirements for terrain visualization and for visualization of tactical symbols. A new rapid automated terrain generation method is mentioned as well as new tactical symbols visualization. The advantage of the whole solution is to free the commander from all traditional tools and information systems that are coupled with high degree of abstraction and let him experience more natural look at the battlefield situation.
