MALÝ, Vlastimil. Information support for Lessons Learned process. In: International Conference in Military Technology Proceeding, ICMT’11. Brno: University of Defence, 2011, p. 321-328. ISBN 978-80-7231-787-5.
Lessons Learned (LL) is a process which is performed and managed by the military community to be able to adapt rapidly its tactics and equipment to correct the
identified shortfalls. The paper deals with the new challenge of RTO/SAS (NATO Research and Technology Organisation/System Analysis and Studies) Panel to form an Exploratory Team (ET) to examine how to Exploit Lessons Identified from Current Operations (ELICO). Members of the team are going to explore the interest of science and technology (S&T) communities to become involved in the Lessons Learned process. A key question will be how to design a better “business cycle” than that of our opponents (“enemies”). As an important part of the result will be some Information Support (software tools) created. Czech Republic has offered SW technology developed during scientific activities within Mental Project. The paper describes SW products (applications) and way how to use it, which can be introduced as an important support for ELICO.
In this article we try to find the position of information technology support for Lessons Learned process in military environment. This is one of tasks for Research centre for this new topic - Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre (JALLC) in Lisbon (Portugal).
