CEFME Students' Scientific Conference 2017 was organized on the Croatian Defence Academy in Zagreb, from 8 to 11 May 2017.
The Conference was opened by the Commandant of the Croatian Defence Academy Lieutenant General Slavko Barić, PhD.
23 cadets and students from Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic and Slovenia competed on the Conference. Participants have presented 21 scientific paper in three panels: Military Leadership, Military Engineering and Hybrid Warfare. The papers were examined and graded by an international team of experts and three best papers from each panel received prizes from the Commandant of the CDA.

Military Engineering
First place – Cadet Ivan Lovrić, Croatia, paper: Unmanned systems as factors in hybrid threats
Second place – Cadet Csongor Mészáros, Hungary, paper: Medium ranged SAM (surface-to-air-missile) systems which can be integrated into Hungarian Defense Forces
Third place – Cadet Dániel Nagy, Hungary, paper: The Hungarian short range air defense system, change of air threats
Hybrid Warfare
First place – Cadet Luka Jenič, Slovenia, paper: Hybrid warfare
Second place – Cadet Adriana Stubičar and Cadet Petar Antolović, Croatia, paper: New threats in hyrbid warfare
Third place – Cadet Miloš Maksimović, Serbia, paper: Migrant crisis as a new weapon of hybrid warfare
Military Leadership
First place – Cadet Tea Bizjak, Slovenia, paper: Contemporary challenges in military leadership
Second place – Cadet Jakub Černik, Czech Republic, paper: Ideas of military secondary school students about a soldier career
Third place – Student Leona Kárasková, Czech Republic, paper: Presentation about results of analysis Ex-stream
