The subject matter of expertise in the field of energy security is the contribution to the development of energy security related doctrines and standards. Located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The center is responsible for:

  • Development of NATO energy security related doctrines, standards and procedures;
  • Development, validation and improvement of NATO Nations and partners standards and procedures with an energy dimension;
  • Support and integration of Repositories of Best Practices, lessons identified and lessons learned in cooperation with NATO and National Lessons Learned centres;
  • Interaction with national and international energy security agencies, institutions, industry, academia and organizations;
  • Contribution to the conduct of experimentation, which requires energy security expertise;
  • Providing proposals and new short, mid and long term perspectives for transformation in the field of energy security.
