The center is responsible for:
- Development of NATO energy security related doctrines, standards and procedures;
- Development, validation and improvement of NATO Nations and partners standards and procedures with an energy dimension;
- Support and integration of Repositories of Best Practices, lessons identified and lessons learned in cooperation with NATO and National Lessons Learned centres;
- Interaction with national and international energy security agencies, institutions, industry, academia and organizations;
- Contribution to the conduct of experimentation, which requires energy security expertise;
- Providing proposals and new short, mid and long term perspectives for transformation in the field of energy security.
