During the FH bachelor course of studies Military leadership those qualifications and competences are being taught, wich an officer needs to fulfill the tasks of his primary assignement even during missions in multinational battlegroups. This also applies to executives in compareable civilian orginisations, especially those concearned with safety- and crisismanagement.
This is realised with a course of studies with a duration of 6 semesters that includes elements of national and international on the job training with a total duration of 12 weeks.The emphasis of this education at university level is put on teaching leadership competence. This is laid out as an interdisciplinary concept including military science and it is based on the knowledge of social sciences and humanities.
After having achieved the bachelor degree Military Leadership Students basically have gained the ability to become profesisonell officers of the Austrian Armed Forces. Furthermore it provides additional carriers insternally and externally as it is possible to continue these studies during the respected Masters degree or other studies of the social sciences and/or the humanities.
In order to fulfill the tasks of the primary assignement of a professionell officer in the Austrian Armed Forces or an equivalent assignement in a civilian Organnisation graduates need advanced knowledge in these areas:
:: special fields and methods for missions,
:: professionell specialisation,
:: character and consciousness,
:: society and social systems,
:: general knowledge specific to specialised jobs and
:: english military terminology.
