Part of the Merchant Marine Faculty. It coordinates the training of future electromechanical engineers that carry on their activity in the Navy and Merchant Marine.

It coordinates the training of future electromechanical engineers that carry on their activity in the Navy and Merchant Marine, but it also takes part at the completion of the technical knowledge of future specialists in the electrical and port exploiting field. The teachers of the department are the ones that are performing the above mentioned tasks by preparing and updating the syllabus, the curriculum according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and of other institutions that release certificates, after the examination. The department’s disciplines are according to the established target and that means a very good training of the engineers, graduates of the "Mircea cel Batran" Naval Academy. Being a specialized department it is normal that the disciplines taught to students to be essential in their training and so they are:

  • PORT AND NAVAL PLANTS
  • PORT OPERATING TECHNOLOGY
  • ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION PREVENTION IN PORT AND AT SEA
