Tasks
The system of military education and training comprises foundation-level, basic and advanced military education and training. It provides systematic and planned preparation for primary military duties, regular upgrading of professional military training, training for specific military duties, and military unit training for the efficient performance of tasks and functions.
The system provides regular forms of full-time education and training (while employed), part-time education and training (study while working full-time), and distance education and training. In terms of scope, organisation and content it is adapted to the planned structure and tasks of the armed forces, and provides a level of military education and competence that enables the mobility of military personnel within the entire defence system, and offers a transition from civilian professions to military and vice versa.
The Department of Military Science includes the heads of subject areas and lecturers in individual subjects from the subject areas of all levels of military education (soldier, non-commissioned officer, officer, military specialist). They cooperate with individuals from other units of the armed forces who, for the implementation of the pedagogical process, are able to obtain an appropriate licence, teaching qualification and training, according to the level of teaching. An expert working group is formed for each subject area with the task of developing education programmes that can be properly accredited together with other subjects.
