Department of Toxicology (DTOX) is the unique research facility able to study the effects of highly toxic compounds including chemical warfare agents (CWA). DTOX is focused on diagnostics, prophylactics, treatment and decontamination of intoxication caused by highly toxic compounds including CWA. The educational activities consist in the pre-gradual and post-gradual courses in the toxicology. The expertise activities are concerned about the development of protection and medical means or risk management for the Czech Armed Forces. DTOX is co-operating with national and international authorities for the CWA prohibition and many international research institutions.
