Department of Electronics is the largest organizational unit of the Military University of Technology - both in terms of number of students studying full-time, and in terms of the scope of ongoing research work. Department has the authority to pursue graduate degree (engineering) and second degree (MSc), postgraduate and doctoral programs in the electronics and telecommunications. It educates both civilians (in eight specialties), as well as candidates for professional soldiers (in seven specialties), under the terms of the Higher Education Act. The study programs are flexible structure and meet the requirements established by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI). Work is also different types of specialized courses in the field of electronics and telecommunications, both for the Ministry of Defence, as well as the needs of different companies and institutions. The Faculty Council is authorized to confer doctoral degrees and postdoctoral work in technical sciences in two disciplines: electronics and telecommunications. It also has the power to apply for a title of professor.
